Celebrate romance with this exquisite antique opal and diamond heart pendant with fabulous opening bail connector, likely dating from the early 20th century (circa 1920s–1930s). Rich in charm and sentiment, this heirloom piece effortlessly blends fine craftsmanship with heartfelt emotion.

At its centre lies a captivating heart-shaped opal cabochon, glowing with a mesmerising play of colour - flashes of red, orange, yellow, blue, and green that dance in the light. Encircling the opal are 10 transitional cut diamonds, totalling approximately 1 carat, each radiating vintage brilliance. Some diamonds display natural inclusions and nibbles visible under magnification, consistent with age, yet retain a stunning sparkle.

The heart-shaped body tests as silver, with what appears to be a faded gold-plated back. The connector bail tests as approximately 18ct gold, adding a luxurious touch. A discreet compartment at the back reveals a hidden space. Previously housing a piece of silk behind a plastic cover, this area is ideal for safeguarding a treasured keepsake or miniature photograph. We have chosen to leave the space open to allow light to pass through the stones bringing the ultimnate sparkle and shine, however, if you prefer, we can replace the cover and silk, please add a note at checkout and allow an additional few days for shipping.

Whether worn as a statement of love or collected as a rare Art Deco treasure, this opal and diamond heart locket is a piece to cherish for generations. Perfect for those seeking antique jewellery with sentimental value, or a unique vintage locket pendant.
