Rare Antique 18ct Gold Pocket Watch Pendant With Blue Enamel And Diamonds | Lucille London

An incredibly rare double sided hunter-case pocket watch pendant dating to circa 1850, with electric blue enamel and bouquets of dazzling rose-cut diamonds on the outside of the case on both sides.  She is drop dead gorgeous; a real unicorn piece!

Made by renouned Swiss watchmaker, De Sufry, she is a statement piece designed to sparkle under candlelight as was the style during this era.  This versatile piece can be worn either way, with both sides having its own unique bouquet and offering a different style - one more full than the other.

The pocket watch is solid 18 yellow gold, with a large bail perfect for attching to your chains and dog clips/bolt rings.  She has a watch key for winding and setting the time.

To open each side of the case, simply press the relevant side of the lever button at the base of the bail.  To close, gently press the open case back into place until you hear it click shut.

When setting the time, use the key with the jewel set above the engraved watchmaker name 'De Sufry' on the inside compartment;  you can move the key in both directions to set the time.  When winding the watch, turn the key in a clockwise direction only using the jewel set just above the serial number.

This fantastic rare pocket watch is in excellent condition, with only very minimal signs of wear to the enamel and interior (tiny scuffs in keeping with her age).  The rose-cut diamonds are absolutely incredible, with wonderful cut, colour and clarity on all but one diamond which is a little discoloured, adding to her character and beauty.  The watch is currently keeping time and ticking beautifully.

We have paired her with an Edwardian 18ct yellow gold curved mariner link chain that allows her to hang safely and securely on your chest.  If you decide to take the pocket watch on its own, without the chain, please do ensure you wear her with a chain that's an appropriate length;  she should not be worn on very long chains that may cause her to move around and knock against things.  We also recommend avoiding wearing her with chains/pendants that hand to the same length to avoid the layers knocking against one another so as to keep her in pristine condition.

This dream piece is a must for any antique jewellery collector.
